Frequently asked questions

Where are you located?

PeakHealth is a telemedicine practice and has no physical location. Appointments are completed from the comfort of your own home.

Do you take my insurance?

Your visit with Dr. Watkins is likely covered by your insurance, but as a direct primary care practice we do not bill insurance companies.  We can help you submit a manual claim for reimbursement under your plan.

What ages do you treat?

Justen practices General Practice covering all ages.

How does telemedicine work?

The discovery call will be on the phone.  For appointments we use zoom video.

What can I expect?

You should expect to spend time discussing your goals, along with your medical history, family, social and lifestyle histories. The pre-appointment questionnaires and first appointment are extensive, but Justen thoroughly reads and considers every aspect of your answers and synthesizes everything into a comprehensive personalized health plan. This plan can take over a week to compile as labs or other tests often need to be completed prior to assessment being made. Justen will contact you personally to review your plan together, taking the time to answer all your questions.  Follow up care varies based on individual needs, but you will have direct communication with Justen going forward.

How much time does an appointment take?

The first appointment will take approximately 45-75 minutes; follow up appointments are typically shorter.

What about labs & prescriptions?

Labs can often be drawn from your home or work.  Justen can send a prescription to any pharmacy of your choice.
